Given the depth and breadth of the RemSoc membership, the development of framework guidance around the implementation of remediation programmes has been identified as a valid aim for the Society – Doing Remediation Right. Any guidance developed should encompass the broad range of activities that the industry is involved in (including both civils based and process type solutions). The Framework has been launched and feedback has been positive. We will continue to promote and develop the framework and seek adoption by local authorities, regulators and industry alike. There is interest and enthusiasm to integrate the work we have done into the industry and the working group, led by Simon Gomm, will continue our journey with the Framework.
