RemSoc AGM – 22nd November 2018
In line with our constitution, RemSoc will be holding its Annual General Meeting at 5pm on Thursday 22nd November 2018. The meeting will be held in the Birmingham area. Subjects to be considered at this meeting include a review and approval of the accounts for the year, review of the activities that have been undertaken, and an outline agenda for the year ahead. All RemSoc members are of course welcome to attend the AGM, either in person or by conference call. Please let us know by 29th October 2018 if you wish to attend so that we can get an idea of the number of people that wish to attend and then book an appropriately sized venue (preferably one that sells beer and wine*). Contact info@remsoc.org – please put “AGM” in the subject title and don’t forget to include you contact details. Following the AGM Minutes will be prepared and made available to all members.
We look forward to seeing you at the AGM!
UPDATE 1: At the AGM we will be considering applications for members to join the Steering Committee as both Andrew Morgan (Geosyntec) (the current ECP Working Group lead), and Cecilia Macleod (now at University of Greenwich) will be stepping down. If you are interested in becoming part of the committee, including leading the ECP Working Group, please send us an e-mail via info@remsoc.org with some information about yourself and why you would like to be part of the Steering Committee. Please also state “Application” in the subject title.
UPDATE 2: We will also be holding a Framework Working Group Meeting in Birmingham (separate venue to be confirmed) between 2pm and 4pm on the same day as the AGM (22nd November 2018). If you would like to help support this important working group, or help to shape its future, please contact us at info@remsoc.org to let us know that you will be coming along, stating “Framework Meeting” in the Subject title.
* Other alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages are likely to be available as well!
